Last night has got to be the definetely most embarrassing moment of my life. EVERRR.
It was the stupid colors award ceremony, right? So ex-captains had to go up on stage and say a little speech to thank blah and blah. In case you dont realise (but i'm sure now ALOT of people do), i'm a very bad public speaker. Interviews and stuff are alright cos at least i know my material and viewpoint. But to prepare a stupid one tiny notebook page long speech with specific points that i cant remember, for me to say up in front of so many people is abit like suicide for me. Wait abit? Actually alot :p
ANYWAY so it was my turn. i got up on stage in front of the whole world and stood there grinning to myself like an idiot. Then i started, and i was so fricking nervous that i rushed through the whole damn thing, stammering and stuttering, with incomplete sentences galore! Already i could feel my damn face flushed up. Not bad enough???? At the end of the speech i was supposed to say, "Ok hockey girls!" then start the hockey cheer with the starting, "see the passion". i think i either tried to be funny or adventurous. This was what i did instead:
Me (loudly): "OK HOCKEY GIRLS!"
*Stares blankly at the crowd. Contemplated to myself for 5 seconds.*
Me: "Eh, whats the starting arh?"
*NISSA LAUGHS OUT DAMN LOUDLY IN THE BACK ROW i could hear her specifically lah!!!! Then i found it too funny already, tak boleh tahan so i laughed out also, then
Me: "Hahaha no, really! i really forgot the first line!"
Then nissa saves the day by starting the girls :D :D :D
I LOVE YOU NISSA. Even though you laughed at me damn loudly for the whole world to see. ANYWAY YA. i blanked out. Utterly most embarrassing moment of my life everrr. HOW TO GO SCHOOL ON MONDAY?!
Oh then after that was the individual award presentation, so i was the first one lah. And there was no one before me, so after i shook the guy's hand and took the cert, i headed to the back stage. BUT THEN WAIT! Aziz (MC) looked at me with that "huh what you doing look" and i realised i forgot to bow!! So, i turned back with the stupidest widest grin on my face and bowed! i think i was too numb already to be embarrassed any more. So just keep laughing at myself :D
i heard huiee was very cute. Take cert already then dunno where to go, stunned tio for a few seconds, then aziz motioned for her to go up front and bow, she went up front, SQUEEZED past him and the other mc, and left by the SIDE STEPS down the stage!
Hahahha we were saying hockey girls seriously the most unglam bunch of the whole school. SERIOUSLY, the other girls in track and softball and everything else were like flowy goddesses who glided effortlessly on stage and like automatic knew what to do and bowed so gracefully! Then SAY HELLO to the unglam hockey girls!!! With the stammering forgetful captain and players who leave by the side steps. Hoho. Actually it might be just us crescent idiots lah. BUT one more thing, my girls also equally unglam in the food department. Hahahha you should have seen us, firstly huijia being the hungry ghost, CHIONG-ED to the front of the buffet queue and we were saying, we share food lah. So each girl get alot alot of one type. HAHAHA NISSA went to take a HELL lot lah! Should see the pile of chicken. i think consists of at least 3, 4 whole chickens la :p then we all went downstairs and eat like mad. And finished everything. OH and huiee damn cool, she went to take the entire tray of tarts. Entire. And it was finished.
Overall it was a nice night to see my girls glam up :) Sharm was hot in her short skirt, bekky looked really good, puppy oh so ladylike! NISSA. In her *high*-slit skirt!!! (she looked utterly hot.) And all my other girls looked so pretty and nice!! (so unlike their usual selves on the pitch hor) Anyway so thats that. I'm glad it was over. Dance party was stupid with a capital S, T, U, P, I, D. Play techno somemore, lah! So smart chase more people away than last year's live band did.
O ya, how am i to go school on monday?! :(

National Day crap

National Day celebrations in school was so un-national-day-like. We got to "adopt" old folks at random, and bring them around (which was sooo difficult - NJ famous for LOTS OF STEPS, remember?) It was all so messy and unco-ordinated, the organising committee for this event REALLY sucked. But the old folk i got was really cool. He was malay but spoke english, and he could carry a conversation pretty well. We talked about lots of things. He kinda advised me to work hard now, so that i'll enjoy the future. Alot of cliched things, but when its coming from an old man with a wrinkled face and glinting eyes, and he's saying that this is all from experience, you're kinda inclined to really believe him. Anyway he was also saying that i shouldnt club and smoke and everything now, because its all bad habits that are pretty useless and pointless. He said he's addicted to smoking, tried quitting 6 times throughtout the years.. But the stress always came back and got to him.
i really think its stress that makes the cigarette stick look oh so attractive.
Anyway i'll try to keep in touch with my old folk friend, i do have his address and he did ask me to write to him. Very sweet. He said i reminded him of his granddaughter :)
Anyway after that we went out with the class for a "class outing". Ok it was hardly the class, but it was about ten of us heading out, and it was pretty nice actually. Dont usually hang out much with the class, so it was nice. We went to great world (MY TERRITORY) and had Jack's Place lunch (students meal, cheap cheap) and watched Charlie and the Chocolate Factory! SUCH A CUTE SHOW! I love johnny depp, he's such a great actor :):) And the oompa loompas were damn irritatingly cute - me and jiahwa just kept hitting each other when they came out! (i like the song they sang when they were in their yellow jumpers, after the nuts incident). Anyway! The overall outing was quite fun, the best part was when we left siewee and jiawei in the arcade *by accident* . After that we were very scared to talk to siewee. Luckily she didnt kill us.
Anyway its 1.30 am. And my crabs arent sleeping. Crabs, i'll explain another time.

This week was incredibly exciting. Positively gave me a heart attack!
You see, on wednesday i was at the parade square in the morning as usual. They were introducing some new German exchange students, and they were pretty cool so i was absorbed - commenting and stuff with miss gan. Then SUDDENLY i felt an itch on my right shin, and then POMP FUCK!!!
i got stung by a fricking Wasp or Hornet or whatever it is! Some big black fat ass flying shit with 6 legs! The feeling was like getting stabbed with an injection needle (that sharp, pricky feeling) but with pain so much more worse. I got goosebumps all over my leg and arms because the feeling was utterly disgusting.
My dear friends were so sweet, insisted that i see my form teacher, mr potato. Mr potato gave me a blue slip and sent me out of school. "Go see a doctor" he said. And just left me :( No, not that i wanted him to bring me or anything (eeee) but it was incredibly lonely. On the bus ride. And i got quite scared. There was a small bump where it stung and a bit of blood. But other than that it actually looked quite nice.
Anyway my dad was at home so he brought me to redhill clinic (kinda like our family doctor). There i was just given some ointment and an MC!!! *So easy to get MC when you dont want it. Yet when you want one, its like an ardous task that you have to play the trick-the-doctor-game. So i had a choice... Go home (5 mins away) or go back to dready, grey school? Well, someone decided for me already actually. Miss PRETTY GIRL begged me to go back to attend econs lect with her. And me being the oh-so-nice friend, did! Took bus leh! Walk in all the way by the main gate leh! FOR PRETTY GIRL. She owe me man.
Anyway so that day itself the sting looked ok. But then on thursday when i went to school, it swelled really huge, all red and angsty like a wei yarn. About the size of my palm. And it was super itchy!! Anyway i continued school trying not to scratch, and when i got home i asked my mom if it was normal. Then she brought me to the doctor again cos apparently its not. Anyway the doctor said it was infected, so i needed to take oral antibiotics (quite alot of pills leh. at least 14 a day for 3 days). If the swelling continued, it may be because the stinger is still inside, and i need to go to a hospital in that case. So my mom bought lillies (pretty yellow and pink ones) and we went home. Oh and i got MC for friday.
Spent most of today doing some revision, and went for lunch with my mom! She even bought me a pretty new top from Ralph Lauren :):):) The swelling went down (i drew the perimeter of swelling with a marker, so i could tell) and now its much better although its still kinda red and ugly (no shorts or skirts yet). And its still itchy. Although less. Anyway nothing else much. See, i need these kinda cheap thrills of insect stings and too-many-MCs to get me all excited. Wheee
