Listening to Glósóli by Sigur Ros
A Love Story
Two raindrops fell from heaven.
They fell together; in perfect unison of rythmn and momentum. It was as if they were the perfect display of nature's volatility coming together in a bang of utter coincidence. Or fate. As they neared the thick, cool atmosphere, the boy droplet leaned towards the girl droplet and said, "You know something? You are amazing."
"I've rolled off the noses of dinosaurs. I've touched the dry lips of eager children. I've laid on the petals of flowers fresh after a summer rain. I've slid off the wrinkled cheeks of a 78 year old man as he held his grandchild for the first time. But i have never seen anything as amazing as you."
She blushed shyly, her tiny aqueous heart swelling up with love. They looked at each other, and without words, a thousand stories were shared between them.
By now, they were fast approaching the ground. Everywhere around them were millions of droplets. They all seemed so alike in their frenzied mass, yet each had a different voice, a different heart. But none of that mattered to the pair.
The accelerating speed, the shrill cries of droplets hitting hard surfaces, the absolute fear on the million faces around them. The firm grip of his on hers.
They whipped past leaves and bark, awkward metal structures that fiercely stuck out. In their last precious moment, nothing more needed to be said.
"You are amazing."

Listening to Only this Moment by Royskopp
Those who love SIGUR ROS, get Takk, their latest album NOW. Fucking amazing, no fucking regrets. It turned out to be completely different of what i expected; Sigur Ros is happy now! Their songs are now full of hope and happiness, you can tell that from just one listen (even if you dont understand the Icelandic language) Just as addicted and beautiful as Agaetis Byrjun.
i caught Sin City yesterday, its an entertaining show lah. The stories dont really make sense, they are kinda cliched (like the Goldie one.. What guy fucking falls in love with a prostitute after one night?) OH but i loved Elijah Wood's character in the movie!! Bloody awesome, plus he looks damn fine too :)
The character Nancy struck me. She was telling Bruce Willis how she tried to fall in love with boys as a growing woman, and how she found that she could never, because she realised that she was already in love with him since she was 11. i want to ask, how - is it even ever possible, to get over it? To get over a love that you never realised existed until time comes along to destroy it, and you only know how wonderful it was when you start to miss it and cant seem to find it in anyone else. Even as two people drift apart and they continue on with their lives, dating, schooling, falling in and out of love, marry, having kids and grandkids and so on.. Are you ever truly over it?
Or will he always be in the back of your mind?

Listening to some wonderful shit thats playing on his blog
OMG I DONT BELIEVE IT. I'VE FOUND HIM.
I've yearned for him for ages, and i dont believe it. i finally am able to talk to him. But will he remember me? Will he want to even talk to me? I'm not even half as cool as him, i dont deserve anything from him.
He's just as amazing as i remembered him to be, his thoughtless rambles and endless musings. His fucking amazing taste in music.
This is the closest thing i've ever felt to love before.

Listening to Suddenly Everything Has Changed by The Postal Service
i love notproud.com, its so incredibly real.
"I always watch people order fattening drinks and eating candy and icecream, and most of the time they are obese people. I always watch with disgust but praise myself for not being fat and resisting the temptation to eat."
"Sometimes I think I'm too pretty for him, and that he should be thankful every day he's with me. But I love him anyway, even if he's not." It can be so seemingly mean and utterly shameless at the shallow first glance, but the fact that its so human just completely intrigues and impresses me. Anyone can look at these faceless confessions and judge them within a blink, writing them off as flawed, contemptous, sinful people.
But arent we all? You see, thats what i love about people. Its no fun liking the straight, decent and predictable character with all the upright morals and impeccable manners. Like for Tolkien's novel, The Lord of the Rings. You can ask anyone, "who is your favourite character?" Most will say Aragorn's courageous and strong determination gave them their own strength. Others love Frodo for being so incredibly brave for taking on the great task all by himself.
i loved Boromir's character, in all its humanness and flaws. i loved that he was so selfish, so proud, so human. And for him to redeem himself despite the huge and even fatal flaws that he possessed, is even more inspiring to me than Aragorn's finely chiselled-jaw, perfect character. Sure, you all need your knight in shining armour with his uncanny ability to survive countless battles and still get the girl in the end, but for what i wonder? Is it all just a facade? To give us a role model that we all can look up to and yearn to become, yet rationalise that we will never?
Then again i may be looking for something else even more irrational and seemingly impossible. For someone to be able to look at all my inhabited humanness, and still accept everything as it is, like how i'm embracing those confessions on notproud.
Because i realise, that in each confession, there is a little part of me in there.
And if i dont embrace myself, in all wholeness of who i really am, then who will?
"I love her so much. She is perfect. She doesn't realise it, in fact she vigorously denies it, but she is. She makes me so happy. I couldn't live without her. She is the strongest person I have ever known. She's smart and funny and incredibly sexy. The best part is that she loves me too."
And, theres always that extraordinary part about being human.
